Help Save His Image Barber Shop & Natural Hair

Our 12-year-old small business has been greatly impacted by COVID-19. We own, operate and are servicers at what was before the novel coronavirus a thriving barber shop and natural hair studio in Albemarle County - Charlottesville, VA.

Since the Government of VA issued its executive order in March for the closure of barber shops and beauty salons, we and many of our servicers have suffered great financial loss.

We applied for economic support through the SBA on 4/3 as well as we have sought help through other grant and loan programs. To date, we have not received assistance from any of these.

Additionally, as self-employed individuals and independent contractors, we have not qualified for traditional unemployment. At the time we are preparing this fundraiser, applications submitted to the alternative, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) through the Virginia Employment Commission, have not produced any benefit either.

Without your help, this community and cultural hub may have to close its doors.

We need your help to raise $40,000 over the next 4 months.

This money will be used to:
-continue to pay rent per COVID addendums to our lease agreement 
-continue to pay our monthly operating expenses 
-cover payroll for 4 months
-continue to repay our new business debt after our end-of-2019 space renovation
