Help Stephanie with Medical Expenses

Our dear Stephanie Skirka has been under a tremendous amount of stress due to several serious health challenges within her family. This has been quite overwhelming financially and emotionally. Stephanie is known for her generosity and kindness and now is our time to circle around her and support her in her time of need. Would you consider helping to meet this goal to help alleviate some of Stephanie’s financial burdens during this time?
Stephanie has been an outstanding nurse at Children’s Hospital Colorado under Pediatric Surgery and the Digestive Health Institute for 20 years. Recently her husband, Joe, who is currently admitted to the hospital, was recently diagnosed with end stage liver disease, and is in desperate need of a liver transplant. With her husband out of work, Stephanie’s income has now become the only source of income for her family and she is now responsible for the surmounting medical bills.
During this time, other stress factors have arisen. She is caring for her mother who has Alzheimer’s and dementia. Stephanie herself also needs to travel back and forth to Mayo Clinic for her own health needs. Additionally, her son, who was recently diagnosed with COVID-19, is now unable to physically help her with the transportation and cares of the family’s ill loved ones while Joe is in the hospital, and particularly when he returns home.
As bills pile up, one can only imagine the overwhelming stress that Stephanie is feeling as she attempts to juggle everything on her own. Let's remind her that she is not alone! The funds we raise together will go to Stephanie to help her pay bills, cover the travel costs to and from hospitals and doctors’ appointments, and help her family with essential living expenses.
