Recently, my mother was diagnosed with brain and uterine cancer. She is a very strong woman so the concern is not so much whether she will beat it or not, as much as how we will continue to afford the mortgage payments until she is able to go back to work.
My name is Cassandra Saunders and my mother is Toni Saunders. You may recognize her because prior to having to fight for her life, she has always faught for the rights of disabled students regarding their education.
If we weere unable to pay the mortgage, our house would go back to the bank. This house is fully wheelchair accessible because I have Cerebral Palsy. I have the ability to go tp Atlanta, but relocating for her wouldn't be a good idea right now.
The money we are asking for will cover three years of payment (and would allow my sister and I to sell if need be) and give me a little extra to remodel a bathroom in an Atlanta house. Her whole family is covering all bases because we can't be 100% sure about anything (even though everyone is staying very positive and optimistic.) At this time, we just want her not to have to worry about anything while she is undergoing treatment.
Even if people were only able to give $10, it would add up very fast.

We are looking to raise this money within 3 to 4 months because I'm managing and promoting this and even before this happened, I was planning to move to Atlanta by February.
