Julie's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Three days before her 31st Birthday, my otherwise perfectly healthy, dynamic, fearless sister Julie was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer.
What does it mean to have Stage 3 Breast Cancer?
Stage 3 cancer means the breast cancer has extended to beyond the immediate region of the tumor and may have invaded nearby lymph nodes and muscles. Although this stage is considered to be advanced, there are a growing number of effective treatment options including chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation.
For Julie, the road to recovery begins with 16 weeks of chemotherapy scheduled to begin November 11th, 2015. We are in the gifted hands of an extremely talented team at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia and confident we will overcome this battle together.
For those of you who know Julie, you know she is too stubborn to ever give up or let Cancer get the best of her. Let's face it, nothing has ever stopped her! She bubbles with passion in every aspect of her life, including supporting Bucks County as a life-long volunteer.
I could never have asked God for a more kindhearted, altruistic, and supportive big sister, truly beautiful on the inside and out. She is my everything. And now I ask for your generosity and support, as we face this journey together.
Words are not enough to tell you how deeply we appreciate your help. Thank you will never feel grateful enough, but with all of my heart, THANK YOU!
