Help Support Nick!

Over the last two years, our brother, son, cousin, uncle, nephew, and friend, Nicky, has faced nothing short of an uphill battle. After triumphing through some personal struggles, he was diagnosed with a stage IV brain tumor. He had surgery and a year of chemo, and neither seemed to break his spirit or stride. This past October, we learned that the tumor was back, and Nicky underwent a second brain surgery. Once again, with his positive attitude (and a few jokes along the way), he had a successful surgery.

As we began the new year, our family was hoping that 2024 would give him a break! Unfortunately, that was not the case. As we were 8 days into January, Nicky was on his way back from getting an MRI and stopped at a gas station to grab a cup of coffee. He kindly held the door for a man entering the gas station mart, and within a minute or two, that same man exited and stole his car. This resulted in a police chase that ended in an accident with his car being totaled. Unfortunately, Nicky’s insurance did not cover the theft or the crash. He is left to pay off the loan and buy a new car. Due to the fact that he is still recovering from surgery, and has numerous doctor’s appointments scheduled, Nicky’s ability to work is limited right now. He is about to start a new round of an aggressive chemo treatment, and he is without a car to get from Albany to Westchester for these treatments.

With all that being said, many have asked how they can help. A donation to support Nicky through these challenging times would make a huge difference and take one less stressor off his plate.
