Help Tonya Get Home

Donation protected
My neighbor contacted me this week about trying to do something nice for her 29yr old patient, Tonya, that was having a hard time adjusting to her {new} life as a quadriplegic. It's a word I don't come across often but hearing it almost makes you feel like you're bearing an invisible weight on your own chest, but doesn't begin to make you understand the gravity of obstacles she now faces on a daily basis. Before her car wreck, Tonya was an avid surfer and active single mom to her 7yr old son, Mason. While doing her hair today, her PT was bragging on what incredible strength and optimism she's shown with each new challenge she's faced. She's truly a woman that's been able to find happiness in a situation most would have given up on! Her current dilemma is finding the means not only to move her and her son from Panama City to Mississippi at the end of this month, so her family can help take care of them while he starts 2nd grade at a new school. But also the long term goal of purchasing a vehicle that can accommodate her motorized wheelchair so she can have the ability to leave the house and maintain a normal life.

$5k is just a start to help them meet their needs.
I encourage anyone that feels like they need to [pay forward] the kindness someone has shown to them in the past, to please help make life sweeter and better for Tonya and Mason. They deserve the best! ❤
