I'm Marie N. Pierre, founder of Feed The Hungry, a nonprofit committed to ending global poverty and hunger, and founder of the Hollywood Expert Magazine, a trusted source for celebrity news. Today, I urgently reach out to you to join us in transforming the lives of needy families in Los Angeles.

Recently, I have had the privilege of helping many families through my nonprofit organization in Los Angeles, New York City, and internationally. As an RN Nutritionist, I have tirelessly supported our mission, funding our initiatives through my business and my own paycheck. However, the escalating crisis in Los Angeles calls for greater support than I can provide alone.

The need is urgent. Families with young children are struggling to survive without the basic necessities many of us take for granted. They are living in cars, shelters, and on the streets, unsure of what tomorrow holds. We cannot let them face this alone.

The Challenge:

Los Angeles, the City of Angels, faces an escalating crisis of families in need. As of 2024, over 300,000 families in Los Angeles are struggling to make ends meet. Behind these numbers are thousands of parents and children battling economic instability and the lingering effects of the pandemic, often seeking shelter in cars, shelters, or on the streets, uncertain of what tomorrow holds.

Our Mission:

At Feed The Hungry, we believe every family deserves a chance to thrive. That's why we've launched a critical GoFundMe campaign aimed at providing immediate and sustainable support to needy families in Los Angeles. Our goal is ambitious: to raise $250,000 to offer comprehensive assistance that includes:

Rental Assistance: Providing financial aid to individuals or families to help cover the cost of rent and prevent eviction.

Nutritious Meals: Supplying fresh, healthy, and organic foods to nourish children and their parents.

Housing Assistance: Helping families secure stable, affordable homes.

Job Training and Employment Services: Empowering parents and individuals with skills to secure stable employment.

Healthcare Access: Ensuring families and individuals receive vital medical and mental health support.

Educational Programs: Supporting children’s education and development.

Emergency Financial Aid: Covering costs associated with job searches, medications, and educational expenses to help families pursue opportunities leading to long-term stability.

Domestic Abuse Support: Empowering individuals to escape abusive situations, access safe housing, and rebuild their lives with stability and dignity. This includes emergency shelters, counseling, legal assistance, financial aid, healthcare access, childcare support, and case management.

Substance Abuse Counseling: Providing support to help individuals overcome addiction, achieve long-term recovery, and transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
