Please Help This Veteran!

Hi, my name is Eric. At the end of August I was in a car accident that very nearly took my life. I did survive but one of the many issues I have that resulted from it was that I had to have hip surgery to repair my acetabulum (the socket the femur goes into). I ended up getting 5 screws and a plate in my hip. As a result, I can no longer do the job I had at the time as a security officer. I have been in a wheelchair since then. Only just today was I told I can start putting some weight on it, but I'll still never be able to return to the security officer career. I have been looking, on a daily basis, for a job that I can do from home as I no longer have a car and can't afford to get one. My bills are piling up, disconnection notices are coming in, and of course, I'm getting further and further behind on my rent. My landlord has been very understanding but that is only going to go so far. If you could please help me in this very desperate time, I would be very grateful. Any help from the VA is very good as far as medical things go, so I don't have any medical bills to cover, thankfully. Career and financial assistance from them either takes months to get or I don't qualify for it for million different reasons. I have applied for disability but that is also taking a long time. Please help me so I don't lose my home, can keep the lights on and put some food in the refrigerator. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story!
