Help Save Pug Winston's Eyesight!

Hello friends! My name is Winston and I'm a 7 year-old pug living in sunny Los Angeles! Unfortunately, this past weekend I was attacked by a pitbull and suffered a severe case of proptosis (my eye popped out of my head). My dad immediately rushed me to the animal hospital where I had emergency surgery, but I have a long road to recovery. The vets stitched my eye shut in an attempt to save it, but odds are 50/50 at best that I keep my eye, and even more bleak that I keep my vision.
To make matters worse, I am mostly blind in my unharmed eye, so right now I'm a bit confused and nervous, given that I can't see my surroundings. My dad is taking me to an ophthalmologist vet next week to see if we can save my proptosed eye, as well as see if there is anything we can do for my unharmed eye, in the hopes that I regain even part of my vision.
This is where your charitable donations come in! The opthalmologist vet is very expensive, and unfortunately the fees for a specialist are not recoverable from the owner of the dog that attacked me since they go beyond ordinary vet bills. In order to get the best treatment in the hopes of me being able to see again someday, I need some help to keep up with the medical bills!
I've had a tough life, having been abused and neglected for 5 years before my dad adopted me from Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles. I've been so happy since I found my forever home, and I hope to be regain my vision so that I can explore all that the world has to offer.
