Hemilaminectomy surgery

Hi everyone my name is Samantha I am here to ask for some financial help with getting my dog Rosie she just turned 2 years old the help she needs she got diagnosed with * Hemilaminectomy* and for those of you who don’t know what that is it’s acute disc herniations ! And she is currently paralyzed on her two back legs

A hemilaminectomy, sometimes referred to as laminotomy, is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure that aims to enlarge the space in the spinal canal to reduce nerve compression or pressure. This is done by removing part of a vertebra, called a lamina, that has been damaged or is damaging surrounding structures.

she currently is home from the vet todays date is ( February 9 2024 ) and got a shot of metacarpal at (4:30 pm )

and the pain meds to bring home and they aren’t helping her the name

of the medicine pain meds she is on are called (Gabapentin)

she currently isn’t eating, drinking , or even going to the washroom

my vet is closed the weekend so if the needle where’s off I will have to take her to the emergency vet and get the needle of (metacarpal ) but it just to keep her going intill I can do the surgery

I also am a collage student I work 3 days a week because that’s all I can work for my own mental health I have no support through my family and really don’t wanna lose my girl!

But if I can get raise the money and the if the sugary goes well she will be in a Doggy wheel chair two weeks in-till she’s able to fully recover and walk again !
