Help Us Help Our Mom

HEY EVERYONE! We are the Henderson Triplets and we’re reaching out to all of you to ask that you become a part of our journey as we take on college. We are so excited to be going off to college, but unfortunately, we find ourselves limited financially. Our mother is a single parent and she has struggled to keep things afloat throughout high school. College is adding even more pressure to our family. Now…all three of us have held jobs for the past few years to cover our senior expenses in high school, and we will continue to work throughout the summer to earn as much as we can but it won’t be nearly enough to cover college expenses and we're kind of freaking out! We promise to keep you all posted throughout this campaign so we ask that you come back often for updates, new photos, and what we’re up to this summer leading up to college life. Basically, we want you all to share in the adventure of college with us! So, keep reading below and just get to know us. We’re focused, determined and we work extremely hard. We won’t let you down. We promise! Blessings to you all and thanks in advance for your kindness and generosity. Know that we are grateful for every single dollar.
Hey! My name is Austyn Amani Henderson and I’m the oldest out of the trio….by two minutes that is. In my photo above, I'm actually in Peru where my siblings and I spent our last spring break as high schoolers helping spread the word of Jesus and it was a really powerful experience. This past year, after not having a clear path about what I wanted to major in I finally found a path for me. I recently found out my love for History and International Studies and thought it would be great to major in just that. I found that Washington D.C is the perfect place to continue my studies with what I want to do with my life. Howard University is my dream school and I got in! Another dream is to intern at the U.S Embassy in France, after I get fluent of course with a planned minor in it.
Just think about it. You can help my siblings and I achieve our aspirations. Our mother is already so very proud of us, but you can help make her even prouder. Your donation will place you at the beginning of my future and I can’t do it without you. The moment my feet hit that campus I am off and running! I’m so excited, and I ask that you be excited for me. If by chance you can’t donate, I really do understand. But can you share with your friends and family? No donation is too small because It all leads to a successful campaign. Thanks so very much and many blessings to each and every one of you!
Hi guys, my name is Autianna Amiyah Henderson. I am thrilled to write that I have been accepted into the renowned historically black college, Howard University. I am planning to major in communications: more specifically Film and Media. The funny thing is that I was not planning on majoring in this subject. I had always dreamed about being a Psychology major. Well I took a AP Psychology class my junior year, and I discovered that my heart was just not in it. However, the Introduction to Video class I took my sophomore year was still on my mind. In that class, I learned how to brainstorm ideas, edit footage and how to become more intellectually aware of the camera. Now…the top level for this class is called Wildcat TV. Wildcat TV is a student based television show that we upload to Youtube every Wednesday. We create skits, do interviews and even have funny surveys as well. THINK SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! It is probably the coolest class you can take in High school. I simply loved it, but not only that, I was selected by my peers as the host. Now, standing at the end of my senior year, I have taken four video classes in tota,l and I discover that Film and Media is my passion and my purpose.
I plan on doing something awesome with this communications degree from Howard University! However, I do not have nearly the financial aid to cover it which is why I desperately need your help. Even with what Austyn and I have been awarded, there will still be a remaining balance of at least 20K each! No donation is too small and I’m grateful for every single dollar. So, if you can, please help my siblings and I get closer to our dreams. Thanking you in advance. God bless! Oh… By the way, If you would like to see more of Wildcat TV here is a link to one of our shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNWgCULkq8Q Thanks again so much!
Hello, my name is Honor Strength Henderson. Don’t trip on the middle name. When we were born, my oldest sister Autumn, who was 6 at the time came up with it and since there were three of us at one time my mom was just fresh out of names…I guess. Being that my mom was also completely exhausted after birth and Autumn was quite adamant, she didn’t argue with her. I wasn’t really feeling it at first either, but now I just roll with it.
In the fall of 2017 I will be attending Johnson &Wales University on a partial soccer scholarship. That scholarship, along with the funds awarded through financial aid still leaves a balance of $13,332. That’s a lot of money within itself that my mom just can’t afford. Try adding my sisters’ individual balances to that! So, I’m hoping that you will find it in your heart to help us out. Know that your generosity is so greatly appreciated. Also know that no donation is too small. We’re grateful for every dollar. We would love it if you could check in with us often for updates on how everything is going. Feel free to posts any questions you may have. We will gladly answer them all. If any of you have any advice or words of wisdom you would like to share, we would love to hear that as well. It does take a village you know. I’m planning on majoring in Sports Entertainment, Event-Management. Thank you all so much. God bless!
