Henfield Community Canopy 2023
Donation protected
2023 Update!
Thank you to all who donated funds! We also obtained nearly £4000 from Henfield Parish council - the total cost for 25 trees planted by West Sussex County Council, at 2-3 metres high was £5245!
Every individual donation helps as it shows the support of the community, and gives impetus to asking for funds at Parish and council level.
The trees including Crab Apples, Cherries, Rowans and Acers were planted in December in Lower, Upper and Station Road, Staples Barn, Fabians Way, Lower Faircox and Wantley Hill - and are looking good. We also updated the name to Henfield Community Canopy to convey that we consulted with the community, and continue to do so.
For this year, we are opening out to requests for trees on verges once again. We have been talking with Wantley Hill residents, and beginning to make applications to West Sussex for particular verges.
Contact me Andrea at 07786 390448.
I can come and meet you at a verge near you if you would like to see tree or talk about flower/bulb planting. Sam, our professional ecologist also brings his knowledge to the mix!
