Henry Green's second chance
Donation protected
Henry Green, now 26, was a college student in 2010 studying Psychology when he was shot at gun point 3 doors down from where he lived and it drastically changed his life. Henry is a brother, husband, son, uncle, mentor and community leader to many different people in the New Haven area. The impact of what happened to him was like a ripple effect to everyone that knew him. When he tells his story he recalls seeing the teenagers that attempted to rob him, and the fear in the eyes of the boy holding the gun. Henry suffered through losing his entire small intestine and needed a transplant to replace it the first time. Unfortunately, small intestine transplants don't last very long and Henry is finding himself yet again needing a second transplant to continue with his life. The surgery is quite extensive and requires him to often travel from Connecticut to DC when he is having medical complications. This has cost Henry having stable employment at a local non-profit where he assisted troubled youth with discovering their passions and dreams in life. These youth that look up to Henry desparately want him back as their mentor in their lives. Your donation will help him to have a second chance at life and continue helping the youth of New Haven whom need a mentor like Henry in their lives once again. Thank you!
