Henry Hampton Film Screening
Donation protected
A movement to preserve the legacy of Henry Hampton and Blackside Production has recently been launched by members of the Highland Park community and Henry's friends and former colleagues.
On Sunday, November 1, there will be a free community screening of segments of Hampton's award winning production, "Eyes on the Prize," at the Nubian Square Drive-In at Bartlett Yard. A panel of Henry's peers and students will reflect on his work, his artistry and his insistence on preserving the struggle for justice and Black rights in America. Please help us underwrite operating costs like renting the space, hiring private security, and paying technicians and staff required for this unique venue.
"What drives people to public service is a sense of possibility. If you haven't sensed that possibility you don't get started in the same way, you don't feel you can have an impact." -Henry Hampton
