Her Fight is Our Fight: Kristina Doherty

On October 7th 2021 at 2:11pm Kristina was given the news:

“You have Leukemia”.

Three words you never want to hear. In fact, not at all what she had expected to hear after visiting the doctor when she was just not quite feeling herself.

I met with Kristina the following day, there were some tears, some fears, but ultimately she’s a FIGHTER and is preparing to take on this battle!

She got her grit, her faith, she is courageous, she is strong with strength in her soul!

Kristina will be spending at minimum a month long stay at the hospital enduring extensive treatment which includes chemo, bone marrow, and tons of tests & medications.

After her hospital stay she will continue with treatments, continuous doctors appointments and tests.

Kristina has raised 2 incredible children all by herself, Logan & Delaney. As a single Mom, there’s been some really tough challenging times but she has always found “the brighter side” and made it through any struggles with love and grace.

She gained a wonderful daughter-in-law, Hannah and just recently blessed with the most adorable granddaughter, Evelyn.

When they heard of their mothers diagnosis all of them came “home” to be with Mom.

Those of you who know Kristina know that she’s been a very involved loving Mom to her children and our community, she’s incredibly caring and giving, a nurturer, and a loyal trusting friend.

I’m putting together this GoFundMe to help with Kristina’s medical expenses, to help with her home expenses as she is currently unable to work.

Kristina needs to only focus 100% on her health, not on the stresses of “bills”.

Any amount is helpful and is so very appreciated more than you know.
