Her fight is OUR fight!! #RallyForRosa

On December 7th our family was shocked by the news that my sister Rosa's "benign tumor", was actually a very rare, very aggressive, form of breast cancer. One that is so difficult to treat that the same exact cancer has already claimed several other members of our family. We are told that long and aggressive treatment is needed to try and stop it from spreading further.

Our mother, who lost her own father to the same disease, has been doing her best to stay positive while helping her daughter through her upcoming double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation.

Our family is beside ourselves with how to help her more through this difficult time.

Rosa means so much to so many people. She has devoted her life to volunteering through outreach programs including working with the deaf community and long term care facilities. She also cared for both disabled and autistic children, on top of being a full-time single mom to her own amazing 15 year old son.

Now she's in the rare position of needing our help!

Our goal with this fundraiser is to ease the burden of hefty medical and living expenses so she can focus on what really matters—getting healthy and kicking cancer’s butt!

Then she can go back to doing what she does best- caring for the rest of us (and losing at family game night ;) )
