Herat Emergency Relief

Following the devastating 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Herat, Afghanistan, The Children of War (TCOW) and Homaira Rahman Foundation (HRF) are collaborating to provide emergency assistance. Your support is instrumental in delivering essential medical supplies to survivors.

Current Situation:

As of the latest reports, the earthquake that struck on October 7, 2023, has had a catastrophic impact on the region. The preliminary estimates are heartbreaking:

· 2,400 Lives Lost: We grieve the loss of over 2,400 lives in this heartbreaking tragedy. (This is an estimate.)

· 1,240 Injured: Over 1,240 people are injured and urgently require medical care.

· 1,320 Homes Destroyed: 1,320 houses are in ruins, leaving countless families homeless and vulnerable.

The situation remains fluid, and we are deeply concerned that these numbers may rise. Families are reeling from unimaginable loss, and survivors are facing not only physical injuries but also emotional trauma.

Our Response:

The Children of War (TCOW) and Homaira Rahman Foundation (HRF) are pooling resources and expertise to provide emergency assistance. The team is currently in Herat assessing the situation. At the forefront of our efforts is the delivery of critical medical supplies to those in desperate need.
