This fundraiser is for Zoila Hernandez and her family of 6, who all just tested positive for COVID-19. They are quarantining at home in Palo Alto, and will run out of money for food/rent in about 3 days.
Zoila's son works in construction started feeling sick, and tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday. Immediately after getting the positive results, the entire household went to get tested and all tested positive.
Zoila's family members are all essential workers: her husband works in the restaurant business, but has been unemployed since March when the restaurant closed down. Her daughter works at the Grocery Outlet, and is also home.
The other two members in the household are Zoila's granddaughter, and her daughters boyfriend.
Zoila's son is having difficulty breathing, and Zoila is starting to feel symptoms as well.
We all know how expensive living in the Bay Area is, and any donations from supporters would surely be appreciated by the Hernandez family.
Expenses Breakdown:
- Rent: $3100/month
- Grocery: $300/week
The fundraiser goal amount is the families estimated expenses for a month.
Alternatively, you can also donate to Zoila directly @ Venmo/6504503627
