Hertfood Ukraine Appeal

Debs and her team of volunteers have been working tirelessly to collect and sort donations from the local community to help the Ukrainian people.

We have been sending supplies to a small town in Ukraine that have not yet received any support from any of the large aid agencies so they are relying on support from small communities like ours who are sending products to the Poland/Ukraine border which are then being walked across into Ukraine.

We have been bowled over by everyone’s support and generosity so far however there is still so much more work to do.

Our challenge is transport costs. We’ve been fortunate so far to have received donations of vans/trucks and our amazing drivers have donated their time, yet unfortunately fuel isn’t free, or cheap! We really need help funding the fuel costs for transporting all of the supplies we have collected. Our last truck spent £1000 on fuel. We are therefore asking for any donations, however big or small, to help us continue our work in getting much needed supplies to the Ukrainian people.

We’re trying to send at least one truck a week but we can only do this with your support.
