Jackie Silvia's Fight With Cancer

Hi, my name is Alex - I'm fundraising for my sister Jackie's cancer treatment.

What Is Happening?

Jackie was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer affecting the lymphatic system, in August of 2022. 28 years old and in the midst of raising a toddler and studying to become a physician assistant, this diagnosis came as a severe shock that will dramatically affect the course of her future. In September, she begins chemotherapy, which will last for approximately 4 to 6 months - all while she continues to act as a full-time student and the primary caretaker for Isla.

What Does This Fundraiser Cover?

This fundraiser was organized to support the costs of treatment not covered by insurance, the income lost due to the necessary time off work, and the many hidden expenses of a life-threatening illness.
