Hewkin and McWhorter Family Fund

Hello everyone. My name is Marilyn Fender and I am Carol McWhorter Hewkins aunt. Jan 17th the family lost Carol's father. Less than a week after he was laid to rest at 3 a.m Jan 27th Carol and Doug and their 4 children were sleeping when their mobile home caught fire. Doug got the 4 children out safely and believed Carol was right behind him. Smoke had quickly filled the home and she had collapsed in their bedroom floor. Doug not being able to go back in the front busted out a bedroom window and he and Carol's brother, Joe McWhorter, tried to get her out. 3 police officers arrived and barely was able to get her before it all went up. Carol was airlifted to Evansville and later transferred to Louisville Ky burn unit. She suffered severe smoke inhalation and some burns. Joe broke his leg and knee and has underwent surgery to stabilize his leg and has at least 1 possible more surgeries to go. This family lost everything and I am asking for help to help them rebuild. They had no insurance as no one want to insurance a mobile home as old as theirs was. Anything you can give is appreciated. I have set up an account for them at Dieterich Bank also. Bank rules would only let me put the account in my name so if you would wish to donate personal just tell them it is to go in my account for the Hewkin/McWhorter families.
