Hey, Buddy Can You Spare A Dime?

First off, that right there is Phryne (As in Fisher not the 4th Century BC Greek courtesan). In case you hadn't noticed she's a dog. She's a sweet dog. Too goddamn smart and occasionally a pain in the ass like the fictional detective who is her namesake.

No, she is not dying. We are, however, trying to keep her in kibble.

This is the sort of post I'd hoped to never have to make. Between family health issues, getting ghosted or rejected for jobs, writing gigs evaporating or just too small to make much difference, I am flat fucking broke and could use a hand.

Over the last few years we've exhausted our savings, including a 401K and an IRA, just to keep afloat, deal with health crises (getting old sucks), deaths in the family, and a ton of stupid little shit that has just kept piling on.

We're scraping by month after month, living off credit cards, loans from friends and family, slashing and burning anything optional. It just isn't enough. We're behind on utilities, medical bills, and now we're dealing with a rent increase, a broken tooth, and vet visits.

I hate that this is where we're at. I don't judge people in similar circumstances because shit happens and life is never simple, but boy howdy am I judging myself. I haven't been out of work for this long and I'm not hopeful it's going to change any time soon.

$15K would solve a multitude of problems. At the very least it would keep us afloat a few months or cover some shit that needs to be handled.

Do I expect to raise that much? Absolutely not. But any amount will help.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. If you can spare a dime or signal boost it would make a big difference.
