Yesterday, March 21st, the Highly anticipated Main event of a little but Mighty contender- Mr. Helio "The God of the sun" Augusto made his Very first & highly unexpected debut! (Hey-Lee-O a.k.a Hey Leo)

Helio squared off with Miss. Mother Nature, Capturing the attention of many medical professionals. Ensuing an Action-packed afternoon for all. Helio versus Mother nautre!

Ladies and Gentleman: The universe called a stop to the baking process, at just 33 weeks, Defying all medical statistics!!! Helio fighting his way out of the womb made his debut at St.Clare, SSM Health, Baraboo at 3:12 pm. Standing 17 inches tall, weighing in at (drum rollllllll) 4 pounds, 9 oz, & adorning the lungs and heart of a Warrior! Declaring Mr. Helio Augosto an escapee artist, 7 weeks early!

Tuesday, March 21st, 2023; was not an ordinary day, better described as extraordinary in divine Alignment. I’m fundraising to help support the cost of Helio’s unexpected arrival and stay in the NICU, that's over an hour from his home in Sauk County.
Helio was born 7 weeks prematurely due to a rare, serious, & often fatal occurrence - Placental abruption. This unpredictable abruption is life-threatening to both the baby and mom. The Stars Aligned perfectly to allow each person who played a part in yesterday's events, to react quickly, & have a prompt medical team that immediately prepped for the unpredictable!

Despite the care & speed at which he was delivered, there are still unpredictable consequences of an abruption.

The severity of his birth & the health implications are unknown at this moment. His birth arrival was quickly traumatic & has caused some acute health concerns with breathing on his own. Placental abruption happens in less than 1% of pregnancies, for unknown reasons. Abruption deprives the baby of nutrients & oxygen, causing unforeseen consequences to his immediate and future Health.

The duration of his NICU stay is likely a minimum of 14 days or more. The end is not quite in sight just yet. Upon his birth at SSM in Baraboo, St. Mary's NICU team was alerted and in transport to rush Helio to their NICU care.

( The family would like to thank all the medical personnel that jumped into action to give the best possible outcome in this very scary situation. )

As you can imagine, the physical, emotional, & financial toll is sometimes overwhelming for such a young family. From the cost of emergency medical transportation, prolonged medical care, lodging, gas, unexpected time off of work, and unexpected expenses that pile up quickly (to the responsibilities of keeping up with home life & a 1-year-old) the financial obligations add up far too quickly.
Hannah who is the Lake Delton Jimmy Johns Manager and 14-month-old Harvey has proudly accepted his promotion to big brother!!

Here is how YOU can leave an impact and be a gentle light in their journey!
