I've created this fundraiser to share the inspiring story of Hey Let’s Heal, a teaching and prayer ministry born from my personal triumph over trauma, and to invite your partnership in our mission to heal and transform lives.
Our Story
Hey Let’s Heal is my way of thanking God for saving me from suicide and complex trauma. On May 18, 2007, the night before my high school graduation, I experienced a traumatic assault by a family member and was coached by another family member to hide it. This led to years of suicidal thoughts. Over the course of 17 years, through a profound encounter with God and discipleship from the right leaders, I found healing from this and other traumas like molestation, parental estrangement, and PTSD.
Recent Success: The Hey Let’s Heal Live Podcast Event
On May 17-18, 2024, my team and I launched the Hey Let’s Heal Live Podcast event in Columbus, GA, transforming the dates of my past pain into a celebration of God's healing power for all who would come. Each day, every person in the room was touched by the power of God, including the unsuspecting soundman who at the end of the night asked for prayer to help him heal from the grief of losing a family member to suicide. He experienced the tangible power of God for the first time in his life and now is filled with joy. His story is perhaps my favorite. Others received healing from dysfunctional relationships, unforgiveness from trauma, freedom from low self-esteem and other areas.
Our desire is to build on this momentum, where we aim to raise $30,000 by December 31st to:
1. Sustain Discipleship ($5,000/month)
Launch "Hey Let's Heal" Podcast, hire a production/marketing assistant and enroll 15 people in our fall healing cohort
2. Protect Our Brand ($2,000) by filing for federal trademark
3. Ensure Financial Stability ($3,000) by maintaining our cash reserves and hiring a bookkeeper
