Help Connie beat Cancer!

Dear community and friends of Connie’s,

This campaign has been started to help financially support my friend, Connie Ambacher. As if keeping her business going during the pandemic wasn’t enough, now Connie is facing yet another sobering challenge after a very recent diagnosis of bladder cancer. Connie needs us!
This special lady has poured her heart and soul into cooking and taking care of so many of us during these crazy times. Connie and her family have been an active part of our community for many years. Her three kids all attended and graduated from Vista Unified Schools. Connie has been here for over forty years. She opened her cafe’ six years ago. When things got busy, her son Bill and his family moved back to Vista to help run the family business. On most days, when you go to Connie’s Cafe you will find her and Bill teasing and making customers laugh all while filling their bellies with the best homemade breakfast, lunch, or dinner. This adds to her level of concern though, not only does she need to be able to purchase insurance to help pay for her inevitable surgery and chemotherapy, but she is concerned about keeping the restaurant going for Bill and his family, also she needs to be able to return to doing what she loves best, cooking and taking care of others, after her surgery. She doesn’t know how advanced the cancer is yet and we are hoping and praying it hasn’t spread.
