Help Bring Christina Home
Our beautiful friend Christina Koslowski passed away peacefully in Marseille, France on June 14th with her mother by her side. Over the last few months her health rapidly declined as she silently endured a disease that many never knew she had. In 2008 after studying abroad in Montpellier, she contracted an autoimmune disease targeting her liver. Despite her ongoing health struggles, she lived her life in a passionate, adventurous, and courageous way. Her last years were spent living and teaching in France, something she always dreamed of. Christina ran towards her dreams with enthusiasm and bravery, for that we all admired her from afar.
The Koslowskis are forever grateful for the outpouring love and support from Christina's expansive network of friends, family, colleagues, and students. Many have asked how they can help.
Denise, Christina's mother has endured what no parent could ever fathom. She was able to be with Christina for her last weeks. Now she is dealing with the tough task of gathering Christina's belongings and getting her daughter home to the US. Please help Denise by alleviating some of the financial burdens and donating what you can.
We still have yet to fully process our dear friend’s passing. The communities she touched are not the same without her and she will be missed more than we could ever imagine. A memorial service to celebrate Christina’s amazing life will be held towards the end of Summer.
Thank you so much, and as Christina would say "Bisou!".
