This fall, Margaret Halliwell, a beloved and truly exceptional human being, was diagnosed with CJD a rapidly moving and rare terminal neurological condition.
Margaret has taught piano for the last 40 years and is widely recognized as one of the best teachers in Canada. Her love and mentorship has extended far beyond the piano. To everyone who has ever met her, she is one of the most warm and gracious individuals you will ever meet, a patient and generous friend, an incredibly loving mother, partner, and a surrogate parent to many.
We know that Margaret means a lot to many people!
Funds raised here can help Margaret, her husband Don and her daughters, Emily and Shannon provide the best care for her during this extremely difficult time.
Your donation will help to:
- Support Margaret’s family to spend as much time with her as possible.
- Give Margaret the option to access available therapies, including clinical trials and complementary treatments.
- Cover practical expenses for Margaret such as wheelchair taxis, ramps, lifts, or any other costs associated with her care.
- Help with the loss of income due to sudden illness
