It's been almost two years since my dear friend Fiona Bergfeld was diagnosed with cancer.
Within weeks of the initial diagnosis we found it that it had spread from her breast to her lymph and then to her bones. Completely devastating for everyone that knows and loves Fi.
She has had six rounds of chemotherapy and is now on palliative treatments.
Fi is an amazing mother to Oscar (9) and Ingrid (7). She is a loving wife, caring sister and daughter and good friend to many.
She is incredibly hard working. And she applying this same ethic to her fight with cancer.
But battling cancer isn’t cheap. And Fi hasn’t been able to work as much since the diagnosis. Fi and Marco are struggling to find the money to buy organic foods and the supplements that Fi needs and much more.
We hear of many treatments that you can’t get on the NHS and these treatments are very costly. This is my motivation for setting up this crowdfunding page.
I want to raise money for Fi to help fund some her treatments. Please, donate if you feel able to. Any amount would be hugely appreciated and gratefully received.
Even if we can’t find a cure for Fi, to prolong her life as long as possible and stop the cancer spreading so she can see her children grow up and enjoy many more years of living would be incredible.
Fi is a true inspiration to anyone faced with a terminal illness. She has more strength and courage than anyone I know.
I love her dearly as do many others.
