Save the Quaker Church
Providence Meeting House and Cemetery Inc (Perryopolis Quaker Church) is engaged in an ongoing effort to restore , preserve, and protect the history and property of one of the Oldest and most visited historical treasures in our area. This property was originally established in 1789 by the early pioneers of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Years of vandalism, weather and neglect have put the building at risk of collapse and the grounds severly damaged.
We need to raise $30,000 to repair the building including a new metal roof, repair and replace stone walls and foundation, replace windows, parge interior and repair or replace 850 feet of antique iron fence.
We need your help. This site is one of the few original quaker meeting houses left standing and approximately 500 pioneers of Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio and New Jersey are buried in the cemetery.
Your contribution is fully tax deductable and the funds will be carefully managed by financial experts and fully audited.
We need your help to save this endangered historical site.
