Today we said goodbye to a kind and amazing man. I am so lucky to have had such an amazing dad, and he enriched the lives of all those who knew him. He passed away, very peacefully while my mom sat with him in his hospital bed. There are still a lot of medical bills that we are dealing with so we are still graciously asking for lots of prayers and shares. Any donations will go towards the bills that have accrued during this long 6-7 month process, so if you are willingly able to help it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, my name is Leigh Anne, daughter of Lori and Gerald (Jerry) Purdum.

I'm trying to set up a fund so that my mom can afford to keep my dad in the care facility to give him a chance at getting better. He has gone through several brain surgeries due to his hydrocephalus, a condition that causes swelling in the brain due to excess fluids. While treatable there were several complications leading to him stuck in a vegetative state.

During the last surgery his corpus callosum, the bridge that links the left side of the brain to the right side, was damaged.

All donations will go to help him receive the care he needs so that he can be rehabilitated and come home.
