Avriel Hooks Son

My name is Ashley Pittman, I am the mother of Avriel Hooks, and her 5-month-old son Michael is my only grandchild. On August 22nd 2023 my beautiful girl went missing while I slept. I reported her missing the next day August 23rd 2023 after not hearing from her all day and finding out that her estranged husband had the child and his possession. The bottom of my stomach fell out knowing what had happened although nothing could be proved at the time. A week after reporting her missing she was found MURDERED by her estranged husband and father to the child and left in a wooded area off highway 60 and Amherst.

This case is very sensitive and there are not a lot of details right now, which I need the public to understand is okay because I know the detectives are working tirelessly to make sure that her whole story is told in court. I know that 100% justice is on the way.

I am continuing this GoFundMe for her son because many people have asked how to donate directly to him for any future things he may need. I am MORE than GREATLY THANKFUL to the community for everyone that has came together and donated clothes toys food and other items for him.

It's so easy in our day-to-day lives to feel alone and unsupported, so there are absolutely no words to describe how HONORED I truly am for the help we have received. It has been a TRUE BLESSING beyond measure to see such a beautiful MIRACLE at the most tragic point of our lives. So again I THINK THANK YOU ALL for everything you have done and the continued support.
