Support Jim Mahar as He Heals from Serious Injury

Hi! My name is Jennifer Kane and I am helping to raise funds for Jim Mahar while he recovers from a serious hand injury.
Jim has been one of the most influential people of my life. Jim has been teaching martial arts for more than 40 years, yet he is so much more than a karate instructor. For many, he fills the role of friend, mentor, and even father. Jim has taught countless kids martial arts. Bigger than that, he taught them how to have confidence and believe in themselves. As a former student and parent of current students, I can personally attest to that. You can regularly see Jim's students transform from shy and insecure to confident and self assured.

Jim would never ask for help himself, so I am here asking you to help support him during this difficult time. He was involved in a serious accident resulting in his left thumb being crushed. Jim is left hand dominant, so this injury has made a significant impact on his life. For the last 20 years, his primary source of income has been replacing storm doors. He had surgery, but is not able to work for 4 more weeks. Jim continues to hold karate classes in the evenings.
In addition to his medical bills, Jim will have a total of 6 weeks without his primary source of income. This is major and something that would devastate most American households.
Please join me in rallying around Jim during this difficult time. Thank You!
