I am Kaila Boulware Sykes, the co-founder of Hidden Gems Literary Emporium. This labor of love started with $30 and a prayer after our family was discriminated against at a bookstore. To see how it has grown in such a short amount of time has been one of the greatest joys of my life. As a nonprofit bookstore that is completely sustained by community support, Hidden Gems is a true testament to what kindness, community, and collaboration can do. I am both humbled and honored to be a witness to the many ways our work has touched people’s lives. I implore you, \ please support and share this fundraiser. Your small act of kindness truly makes a big difference. Please connect with us on social media (@HiddenGemsLiteraryEmprium) on any social media platform and visit our website for more information. We encourage anyone and everyone to reach out to us with ideas, inquiries, and words of encouragement.
With love and literacy,
