High Rockies Harm Reduction

High Rockies Harm Reduction (a project of CNDC) has been providing live-saving services to individuals who use drugs and/or alcohol and their friends and family in the western rural Colorado over the past year. We have saved lives through the distribution of Narcan and fentanyl test strips and we also provide Peer Recovery Support Services and a variety of educational opportunities on substance use trends and treatment. We collaborate with law enforcement, government agencies and health providers across the region in order to connect people with the most relevant services. While we currently provide direct services regularly from Aspen to Rifle, plans to expand to more rural communities across the Western Slope have been coming to fruition and the organization has been experiencing a great deal of momentum in these and other educational efforts.

We are requesting donations to cover program costs, including salaries and supplies. Your donations will ensure that this very important work continues. High Rockies Harm Reduction has made a huge impact on our communities in a relatively short time, but there is still much more work to do to reduce overdose deaths, the spread of disease, and the many negative consequences of substance abuse in our communities.
