High School Physical Education Students

Hi my name is Renea Hering, I am a teacher at Capital City Independent Study (High School level). I am raising funds to help purchase equipment needed for my students to learn different sports and activities for their PE class. We currently have very little equipment since all learning takes place online for this class. The students I serve are typically from a low income neighborhoods with limited access to equipment.

In the past we have gotten creative and used rolled up sweatshirts for volleyballs and towels as yoga mats; however, I would love for these students to experience the use of real equipment.

I am passionate about having the opportunity to expand what I teach! I would love to help the students have access to Volleyballs, Basketballs, Compasses for Orienteering, Yoga Mats, Golf Clubs, Tennis Racquets or Pickleball Paddles and a light set of weights. Your donation would help students that may not have had any access to these types of activities experience for them for possibly their first time! This could help them find something that they could be passionate about for a lifetime and help prevent obesity and obesity related diseases.
