Continued High speed chase post injury recovery
Donation protected
In order of happening:
There was a high speed on Friday 11/24/23 in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake, VA. There was a fatality and an innocent victim, my step daughter, Jessica went to the hospital for emergency surgery. Part of her bowel was removed, she has a left broken wrist and many cuts and significant bruises. There is no timeline for how long she'll be hospitalized or when she'll be able to return to work. Husband, Joshua, is already strapped with no vehicle, child care concerns, etc... Thankfully someone has replaced the car seats. We know that insurance is going to take some time since the fatality was being pursued for registration issues and driving over the lines (hence running from the cops) and will take time for the legal issues to resolve. We will need to replace the vehicle (for a family of 6). Replace income. Food, so many things. Our momma hearts are heavy.
If you can help, please contact her mother, Sabrina Garrison.
or stepmother, LeeAnne Knapp.

Update on Monday 27th:
"I really don’t know how I survived that horrific car accident on Friday…. But I did, and I am so happy that I get to live another day with my loved ones❤️The guy who hit me was going 80-100 miles per hour and he died on impact when he hit me. I had internal bleeding and had to have surgery to reconnect my small intestines to my large intestines… broke my left wrist and my right foot looks pretty gross. I never ask for help but we desperately need it right now…. So if you could donate or even just share it for me I would really appreciate it!"
Update on the 29th:
"After seeing a bunch of photos of the accident and some videos it has really hit me that I’m extremely lucky to still be alive and watch my babies grow up❤️ getting hit at such a high rate of speed could have been the end of my story…. I mean the whole front end of my car was ripped off when he hit me from the right side… then we spun around together and smashed some poles which ripped the back end off my car….. But I’m pretty sure my grandma Shirley Henry who passed away just 7 days before the accident was in the car protecting me! Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me.. as well as shared and donated to the gofundme… I am forever grateful for everyone of you who are making this journey a little less stressful for me and my family as I continue to heal in the hospital "

She is still in a lot of pain and she hates to take pain meds. She is suffering from concussion symptoms: dizzy and nauseous. and her left wrist hurts that is broken and the whole right side of her is severely bruised. Keep those prayers coming.
Her husband is back to work. Her older kids are at school unless one is home helping with the little ones, or her mom or a family friend, because it's not too easy for her to do while she's sick.

Jessica is going to be healing from dizzy and nauseousness for quite some time. There is still a dent from the seat belt and lots of bruising and pain. They say time heals all wounds. One hopes that this cliche is true. Jessica, I love you so very dearly, and I am so grateful that God saw to spare your life.

So the hip where the seatbelt dented her body... is quite damaged. Muscle separated from bone so to speak. Not quite sure of the accurate diagnosis. CT or scanning to be scheduled. There is fluid. It's not a good thing. There may be a needle drainage, then surgery. Ugh. Emphasis on ugh.
We are so concerned about when things might actually improve.

It’s been 4 weeks since my life was flipped upside down by the tragic car accident caused by the high speed police chase in Deep Creek. To say it’s been hard, would be an understatement I’m mentally, physically and emotionally drained from it all. I’m still constantly dizzy which makes it hard to do anything. I still have a cast on my left wrist and a boot on my right foot. I’m still healing from surgery that reconnected my bowels after they ripped apart during impact. I still have the seatbelt indention on my upper thigh and I may have to have surgery on that area because my tendons and muscles have ripped away from the bone and that area has filled with fluid♀️ y’all continue to pray for me because I still have a long road to recovery ahead of me

It’s been 7 weeks now since the accident and I’m still struggling to recover I’m going to have to have surgery on my hip due to the trauma from the seat belt…. I have a Morel-Lavallee Lesion that goes from my inner leg around my hip and onto my butt cheek. It’s pretty large and the cut is going to be huge because they have to remove the entire capsule ♀️ my bowels are still healing from surgery and I’m still constantly dizzy which is the worst part because I’ve fallen a couple of times because of it! I finally got my left arm out of the cast and into a brace and I can start weening myself out of the boot on my right foot! I will be starting occupational and physical therapy soon for the post traumatic vertigo, wrist and foot! Y’all please continue to pray for me and my recovery because I still have a long way to go!!
