Higher Ground Staff Fund
Donation protected
Dear Music Fans,
Thank you for your continued support, patience and adherence to social distancing practices as we navigate this crisis. The more we stay apart, the sooner we can be together again enjoying live music.
In the meantime we have set up this Staff Fund for our beloved employees who, like almost everyone in the service and events industry, are currently without work. While our intention is to get everyone back on board as soon as we can, we are asking for donations to limit the impact that COVID-19 has had on our staff. This fund will directly help our employees - paying need-based microgrants to staff members who apply - many of whom have worked at Higher Ground or in the music industry at large for their entire careers.
Our employees are the lifeblood of our operation, and they are a big part of what has made Higher Ground so special over the past 22 years. Stage crew, security guards, engineers, box office clerks, & bartenders may not be ‘essential’ workers at the moment, but we want to help make sure they are back at their posts when we resume having shows again - so you can see those same familiar faces at your next show.
If you are able, please consider donating something so we can make sure that our tight-knit staff is well-supported during this time. We want nothing more than to serve our community of music lovers, and a donation to this fund helps make sure we can pick up right where we left off in March. There are no direct prizes or rewards built into the campaign, but anyone who donates $50 or more will be entered to win a weekly drawing for some fun HG prizes.
Thank you so much for your support, and we can’t wait to see you at a show soon.
Sincerely,
Mark Balderston
