Hiking for a cure

Want to join me in making a difference? This coming Tuesday (2020-09-04) I will be attempting to hike four trails on the Coquihalla Summit over a 2-day period. To kick things off I will be hiking the Flatiron/ Needle peak loop, followed by Yak Peak trail, and then starting the first leg of the Zupjok, Llama and Alpaca Peaks Trail. The following day I intend on completing both the Zupjok trail and Vicuna/ Guanaco Peak Trail. I intend on completing these hikes over a 2-day period; however, there is a strong likelihood that I will complete them over a 3-day period. The total combined mileage of these four hikes is roughly 53 Kilometers, and estimated to be 23 hours of hiking, and are all rated either as difficult or hard. It is ambitious but I believe it is completely doable.

Why am I doing this you may ask? I have decided to put myself through this rigorous journey as I have lost family and friends to cancer and have also witnessed firsthand how large of an impact this horrible disease has on those I care about. It is crazy that cancer still exists; however, through cancer research, it is truly amazing that some forms of cancer are becoming easier to treat and recovery rates are increasing. The research and groundbreaking discoveries are made possible by generous donors such as yourselves, who are willing to help support a noble cause that so many people will benefit from.
