Hiking for Hope and Healing

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Keith McNally, and my journey through surviving two suicide attempts (2013, 2021) and a significant heart attack (2022) has fueled my passion for supporting veterans in their mental health struggles. As a veteran myself, I understand the unique challenges and trauma that many of our servicemen and women face upon returning home.

Drawing from my own experiences, I've made it my mission to connect with people globally, offering them a safe space to share their stories and find hope in the midst of darkness. In the process, I have learned just how deeply wounded the veteran community is. Through active listening and empathetic responses, we can make a profound difference in the lives of those who have served our country. And that is exactly what I intend to do!

Recovering from a suicide attempt is a daunting journey, especially for veterans who may be grappling with PTSD, depression, or other mental health issues. That's why I'm dedicated to providing tailored support and guidance to help them navigate through their pain and find a renewed sense of purpose.

Now, I've embarked on a new mission—to hike the Appalachian Trail (AT) with a purpose. Between now and 2025, I'm committed to raising financial resources to support veterans and their families impacted by suicide. These funds will provide essential services such as peer support, grief coaching, and basic needs assistance to those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

Suicide prevention is crucial, but it's equally important to support our veterans through their journey of healing and recovery. We can help them reclaim their sense of worth and find the strength to carry on by offering them the resources and support they need.

Every step I take on the AT symbolizes resilience and hope for our veterans. Let's honor their service and ensure they receive the care and support they deserve.
