Hiking the West Highland Way for Alopecia UK!
I started to develop Alopecia Areata just over a year ago now. One of the most mentally impactful aspects of dealing with Alopecia for me is the lack of predictability and control that you have over the condition. Currently the wait for seeing a specialist within the NHS is very long and can be followed by a complicated process of trialling multiple treatments. During this long wait Alopecia UK was one of very few resources that provided in depth guidance and research alongside a community of highly inspirational individuals.
Despite there still being a lot of uncertainty surrounding the progression of my own hair loss I'll take a lot of comfort in supporting a charity that is so important to me!
I'll be hiking the West Highland Way (96 miles) from Milngavie to Fort William on the 15th to the 21st of July this summer. Please donate if you are able to or share to help raise some money for this important cause!!
