Hilfers HO Train Restoration
Donation protected
I ended up getting my Grandpa's HO Train set that he hand build every part of, but by the time I got it, it was is bad shape. I have rebuilt the table base for support, and now need to rebuild the rest of the train table. I am gonna try and not disturb all the old wireing, controls, and hope to someday afford to get a radio controled setup to add to it after it gets re built. Henry Hilfers built this over many years of work, and after passing away in 1979, the table got dismantaled, and moved, then stored in damp conditions for many years until I saved it just before it was going to be thrown out. I moved it here a couple years ago, and have slowly started restoration, but unfortunatly have run into a slowdown as I need to start purchasing required parts, but funds are not available. Large price item include, remote control system, and tuns of remote switches, along with having to replace every inch of track as it was all distroyed.
