Hill House Fundraiser
There is a beautiful House on the Hill set in the countryside of Somerset that needs our help!
Hill House Christian Centre Ltd has been running for years and has been a vital part of hosting community groups, both Churches, Small Groups and Schools at their incredible venue. But Covid-19 has hit them hard, as with many charity organisations. Having lost pretty much an entire years income from hosting such groups, but still having the maintenance costs and running costs of a venue of such a large capacity with extensive grounds, I thought it was only right and kind to do our best to fundraise to help rebuild the “funds” pot that enables this place to keep running.
It would be a horrendous shame to lose such an incredible place.
Many kids have come to the 6 weeks of Summer Camps that they facilitate every year, I made some of my dearest friends at these camps and to lose it, or run the risk of it no longer being a sustainable venue would be so devastating.
So, if you’ve ever come to Hill House, sent your kids here to camp or simply heard of it and would like to make a contribution, it would be so very appreciated!
As one famous supermarket quotes “every little helps” so even £1 can make a difference and it would help keep the venue running.
Perhaps you don’t have any spare funds yourself, but you could run a small event to fundraise and then donate the proceeds... all idea’s welcome!
Let’s keep the beautiful place alive and continuing to bless the oodles of generations to come here throughout the years ahead.
Having done some online research and looking at the previous years accounts I’ve gone with a target of £100,000. Whilst this figure is huge, it’s apparent that over the years it’s increased it capabilities of services available thanks to voulnteers and projects that have taken place. Purchased back in 1976 by BCYT (Bristol Christian Youth Trust) is has sustained the years of love, labour and restoration that has taken place here and enabled it to be the wonderful centre it is today.
Please help to keep the vision alive!
