Hill of Fare Windfarm Information Group (HoFWIG)

This campaign is to raise money for legal, professional and associated costs to assist the people and Communities fighting this development under the banner of HOFWIG – the Hill of Fare Windfarm Information Group.

We are against the HoF development on the basis that it is of an industrial scale and is wholly inappropriate for the local landscape.

HoFWIG is a community-based organization that is fighting to preserve this beautiful and historic landscape. We need your help to raise funds to fund our battle and raise awareness of the issue. For more details head to our website.

HoFWIG is not opposed to renewable energy per se and fully supports the transition to renewables including both wind power and PV. However, it believes that Onshore Wind is not the answer, it is a short-term politically driven move that will ultimately prove misguided and hugely damaging.

These are justifiable policies being applied in an unjustifiable way, ignoring the impact on Scotland’s other natural assets.
