Hillcrest Fire Victims
Donation protected
Early Saturday morning, April 28th, a fire ravaged Block 17 of the Hillcrest Apartments in Asheville. The building housed 5 resident families and the Hillcrest Resource Center (WWD-F). In spite of the tremendous efforts by the Asheville Fire Department, the building's roof exploded into flames and finally collapsed. Residents in these five apartments lost almost everything.
The Hillcrest Resource Center is collecting money to help out the five families affected by the fire. This week they will be moving into another apartment and urgently need help in restoring their households. Your contribution at this difficult time will be greatly appreciated.
