Hima Needs a Bath

A couple of nights ago, my water heater had an overly-dramatic breakdown. I had the very scary experience of hearing loud popping sounds, smelling an electrical fire inside my home, and rushing my family outside while I called for a fire truck. The house, and most importantly, the people inside it, are unharmed, thank goodness.
There is no good time for a water heater to break down, but, this comes after a series of other expensive weather-related issues that damaged my home in the second half of 2022. And of course, this had to happen in the dead of winter.
It's very difficult for me to ask for help, but I find myself in the position of having to try anything and everything to be able to afford a new water heater. I, like many people, have watched my savings dwindle since the pandemic, and now, I simply do not have enough money to cover this latest in a string of emergencies.
I reach out to fandom because of what I've already contributed to it. If you've enjoyed any of my 101 stories, or any of the dozens of events I've created/moderated, or on the off chance that my poor art brought you a chuckle when you needed it, and you're in a position to toss a coin or two my way in exchange, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I don't have expectations and I won't make a habit of asking for money online. Again, this is very embarrassing and difficult for me to have to ask, but it's winter and my family doesn't have hot water. It's a scary situation and the cold reality (pun intended) is that I need help to fix it.
I know that I'm asking a lot. I'm humbled and humiliated by the situation in which I find myself. And I appreciate any help that anyone may offer to me more than I can express. Thank you.
