At the beginning of this year, my good friend Larissa Hinman has been diagnosed with breast cancer in an early but very aggressive stage. Larissa is a loyal, kind and honest friend who has always been there for those who know her. She is a loving mom to two daughters Sophia (11) and Sabella (8) and a great wife who loves yoga and dancing.
However after this news, she is terrified, worried and tired from the tests, medical procedures and just balancing day to day activities, work and health. Larissa works as a front desk assistant and her husband Bret works as a pool cleaning services sales person in Jacksonville, FL. As you can imagine neither of those incomes are prepared for what is about to hit them. They have already maxed out their credit cards for the initial procedures (Larissa has had her first surgery in January, 2020 and a round of biopsies on both of her breasts). Her medical insurance of course only partially covers the expenses and with another surgery scheduled on Feb 25th, 2020 to remove both of her breasts and a set of chemo therapy treatments to follow they are scared of how to handle all the medical bills coming up.
Larissa is a type of a person who would rarely ask for help but would always be there for others and so it's our time to try to help them battle this nightmare. If you can spare a few dollars, your time or just a kind word they would really appreciate it.
