#HIREBLACK: Raising $10,000 to help 10,000
Donation protected
Our initiative started as an idea to help 19 Black womxn get resume feedback on Juneteenth. Thanks to support and allyship, we are now a network of 2,000 people and counting. We have over 300 volunteer recruiters willing to give resume feedback, mock interviews and career coaching sessions, and we are matching them weekly with Black womxn based on industry experience and management level. We have done over 100 pairings so far.
HireBlack Website
We have a Slack group which serves as a safe (and brave) space to over 1000 womxn.
We have also partnered with top companies who have volunteered their TA teams to further connect and expand the network of our ambitious Black womxn.
All of this has been a volunteer initiative to give everyone access for free.
With your donation, we can continue to serve our community.
Here is a testimonial of a career "glow up" from a #HIREBLACK member:
"After a few resume feedback sessions with my match, multiple companies contacted me for interviews! I just accepted a job offer that was a 151% increase from my previous salary."
A quote from our Slack:
About the Organizer (Niani):
I am a Black womxn in recruiting who was raised by a single Black mother. Growing up, I saw how hard my mom worked to support us with no true career trajectory despite having over 15 years of experience in her industry, and as a recruiter, I saw opportunities of improvement to change the industry.
