His dream car destroyed in the Andover tornado..
Donation protected
My friend Chance Nguyen was at the Dr. Jim Farha Andover YMCA when the EF3 tornado directly hit the facility. In about 10 minutes, he lost his dream car, the 1991 Toyota MR2 - one of the two or so cars to be thrown into the building by the tornado. May 1st would've been his entire month of ownership. This car meant everything to him, and we could see how happy it made him each time he drove it. It was something he had wanted for a LONG time. Countless hours and nights were put into maintaining the car as well. He had so many things he wanted to do with the car, but it was cut short. Unfortunately, the lady who was supposed to make sure that the car had full coverage messed up the documents, which caused it to be on liability, and he only found out about that today (it's also a very frustrating story of the company switching up on him as well). It's heartbreaking to know that there's not much that could be done besides building back up the funds. No matter how many times he says it's okay, there's still that pain in his voice. He loved his car more than anything. Any donation would help us greatly, no matter how big or small everything counts! Chance has been nothing but an amazing friend to us and I am extremely happy that he made it out alive and unharmed. I would do anything to repay his kindness to me and many others. If the goal is exceeded, the remainder will be donated to others impacted by the tornado as well!
