"His old Lady" - The film

Title:   "His Old Lady"

Log Line:  A story of feelings on four wheels.

Synopsis: When her son is 7 years old, in 1966, a woman buys a special vehicle, a FIAT 850 Spider Bertone. This spider will become very important in the life of mother and son and become the "fourth family member". After more than fifty years, Christian will pass on his "old lady", as he now loves to call the vehicle, to his daughter Melanie. The car itself tells its personal story from the beginning of its creation, over all the years, to the present.


This project is the first project on which the team is working together the first time from the beginning to the end. To do this job everyone of us is contributing with his abilities, ideas and creativity to shoot the film as a high quality film. We are doing our best with great enthusiasm and passion to reach the goal.


It is the very special story about a FIAT 850 Spider Bertone sports car that was bought in September 1966 as a new car by a young lady when her sun Christian was 7 years old.

It was her beloved car for many years and in July 1989 she gave it as a present to her sun Christian to be sure that her beloved car will remain in the family forever.

A lot of people are closely connected to the car: Giorgetto Giugiaro, the man who designed the car,
Nuccio Bertone who produced and distributed the car, Christian's mother, Christian's wife Rosalind and their daughter Melanie and of course Christian himself.

In Christian's life the car become very important – it often was his mental support in difficult moments. A particularly relationship develops between Christian and the car, surely not understandable for everyone, but not deniable.

Christian got married and a little girl was born from the marriage. You will see how his wife Rosalind reacts. The behaviour of Melanie when she was a little girl, when she was a young lady and then when she was a woman changed also and will be told.



At its core, His "Old" Lady  is a story about feeling trapped. We've all felt trapped at some point in our lives… Whether it's trapped in a job that we hate or a relationship that is not working. As a result people start to drink or to take drugs, because they think they can escape from their situation or feel themselves better on doing so. Christian's reaction is different: in these cases he takes his "old lady", opens the top if the weather is good enough and starts to make a drive through the breathtaking landscapes of his mountains.

Christian's wife Rosalind does not understand his behaviour, even if she accepts it. His daughter Melanie has a lot of fun to accompany her father in his old sports car when she is a little girl, but when she is a young lady, she can not understand like her mother. Years later, when Melanie's life will become very hard and she does not know anymore what she should do to solve her difficulties, she will understand her father and follow him on his way to manage life.


It is very rare that everything about a car is known. So for example we know the prototype of the car. The designer who made the prototype and later on the car itself is known; also we know why the cars were made. I have photos of the car on the production line and in the painting shop.

The car is a version that was assembled for the States. 
Who knows why the car did not went to America, but arrived to Bozen, in the middle of the Alps.

We want to produce an one hour movie and it will be produced in English, German and Italian language – AND as a very special detail: the story will be told not by the author, but by the car itself!

The car will receive a female voice and will tell its story from the beginning, from the prototype until nowadays. The film that we are shooting is not only a documentary about the car itself, but will also tells you the stories about Christian's wife Rosalind and their daughter Melanie – always in conjunction with the car.

It will be a very emotional film with a very, very emotional happy end.


As you can see from the trailer we have some technical equipment to shoot the movie, but we need some more technical equipment to do a professional job.

We are working with good people and we want to have in every role, even in a small one, an actor or an actress, because we want to shoot a high quality movie AND we want a coach in every scene, who supervise and guide the actors in their roles. In this way we can be sure to have the best result.

Laura Jaufenthaler represents Melanie. She has a big talent to personify a role.

Stefania Vestri is an actress with experience on stage and on set. She represents Rosalind.

Christian Bianco (actor, dancer and producer) is an actor with a great experience as a dancer (Italian champion in sport dance) and as an actor. He has also experienced on stage with Francesca Inaudi. This is his first project as an actor and producer.

Roman Waldthaler (director) is shooting short films over different years and this is his first experience with a long film.

To shoot a movie is an unpredictable adventure. Actors can drop out, locations can become unavailable or equipment breaks.
