Hisick Emergency Medical Bills

Donation protected
As many of you know, Dylan and Katey just recently welcomed their 2nd daughter into this world. Fayth Lee Hisick born on 8/13/2023 at 12:06am weighing 8lbs 9oz and 21 1/2 inches long. With that being said, Katey underwent emergency life saving surgeries (see her story below.) right after Fayths arrival. With great surgeries come nasty bills. Dylan and Katey were financially ready for Fayth, they were not prepared for the 3 surgeries. Anything can help, please consider donating or sharing this to help them stay on their toes and raise 2 beautiful baby girls.
Katey and Fayths story is below.

On Saturday 8/12 I went into labor at 3am naturally and at home and continued to labor at home until I was ready to go to the hospital because I wanted to attempt a VBAC. We arrived at the hospital around 4:30-5pm and from there it only took about 4-5 more hours before it was push time. Unfortunately Fayth wasn’t going to come out on her own and my epidural had warn off while my body was constantly contracting every 1-2 minutes. We decided another C-Section was best for everyone and got to witness our baby girl come into the world at 12:06am. After she came out I requested to be sedated because my epidural was wearing off again and I could feel the operation. During this C-section I lost quite a bit of blood and woke up to having a transfusion. Baby girl was healthy and so happy and we proceeded to be transferred to a recovery room that early morning. Sunday we focused on medications and the staff was amazing constantly checking my bleeding which continued to be normal. Around 4pm on Sunday we decided it was time to take a walk to help prevent clots. I felt great and walked as much as I could without overdoing it. When we got back from the walk as they were about to put me back in my bed I felt liquid running out continuously. I had bled all over myself and the floor. The nurses didn’t panic and quickly had me sit down where I continued to bleed nonstop with multiple clots coming out. Within minutes I had about 6 nurses in my room all comforting Fayth, Dylan, and myself and attempting to figure out what was going on. I ended up being put on as much pain medicine As possible because the contractions and bleeding that were occurring became unbearable. The Dr ordered a cat scan and let me know they would be doing surgery again but she wanted to know where the bleeding was coming from before doing so. Once she found where it was coming from she put me under and did a surgery to sweep the rest of the clotting and drain the area. She said surgery seemed to be successful and took me to the ICU to recover, I hadn’t woken up yet and was still on a ventilator when she said her team called her to tell her I had already soaked the bed within minutes and was bleeding out again. At this point she had to make a very tough call but it saved my life. After 3 surgeries In a matter of 2 days I am incredibly grateful for the team and Drs at porter regional hospital for how quick and attentive they acted. I know if it weren’t for them I wouldn’t be here today and the thought of doing that to my two girls and husband is a horrifying thought. After a night in the ICU on a ventilator my body was finally ready to get back to my family. In order to save my life they had to preform a hysterectomy and while I’m not ready to deal and talk about that part yet I am grateful for being here today and have an entirely new outlook on life because of this. Thank you to everyone for your continuous support and checking on us while we navigate this Incredibly hard yet happy time
